Electronic Air Cleaners

Electronic air cleaners are another form of air filters. These filters use electrostatic precipitation, static charge, or particle ionization to remove particles that have been sapped in by a fan through a foam pre-filter. What happens at this point is that larger particles are caught and charged by a high-voltage wire, which is then captured in the precipitating cell. From here, a carbon filter removes the odors and a post filter removes other remaining particles. Pre-filters used in this form can remove mold, tobacco smoke, bacteria and a large percentage of household dust

There are also other forms of electronic cleaners that are available on the market. Electric cleaners are one example. In addition to the foam pre-filter and carbon filter, these types of cleaners also use polyester and cellulose fibers with a static charge to capture particles. Another type is the Negative Ionizer, which also uses foam pre-filters and carbon filters. It is distinctive because it has charged wires, which create ions. The fan then blows these charged particles into the room, and they accumulate on walls and room surfaces. There are also ionic air cleaners that do not use filters; instead, they just utilize electricity to make particles in the air become heavy and drop to the ground. They do not blow air through a membrane like HEPA air cleaners; instead, they circulate negative ions throughout the air

Ozone generation cleaners are the least popular type of electronic cleaner. They use high-voltage electrical charges to convert oxygen to ozone. High concentrations of ozone can destroy gas molecules and certain microorganisms. However, there is a downside to this type of air cleaner. The North Carolina Department of Environmental, Health, and Natural Resources has recommended that people NOT use this type of cleaner, because ozone has proven to be hazardous to people’s health, which defeats the purpose of using the air filters in the first place.

Air Cleaners provides detailed information on Air Cleaners, Air Cleaner Filters, Electronic Air Cleaners, Home Air Cleaners and more. Air Cleaners is affiliated with Ionic Air Purifiers.

Electronics - Is Newer and Faster Best For You

In today’s world the continuous development and change in electronics is so fast that once you buy an electronic device often a year and in some cases 6 months down the track it is already out of date. Devices that often top the list in the fastest changing are computers, cell phones, DVD player and the list goes on. This too many people means that they have to continuously go out and update there electronic devices, but is this really necessary, do we really have to do this. What I mean is do we have to go out and buy the latest and greatest products?

In today’s world the continuous development and change in electronics is so fast that once you buy an electronic device often a year and in some cases 6 months down the track it is already out of date. Devices that often top the list in the fastest changing are computers, cell phones, DVD player and the list goes on. This too many people means that they have to continuously go out and update there electronic devices, but is this really necessary, do we really have to do this. What I mean is do we have to go out and buy the latest and greatest products?

One of the best examples of this is in the digital camera. Most people of today have converted from the old days of analogue film and now own a digital camera, I own one and I am a huge fan of them. However do we need to go out and buy the best one on the market? At the moment some digital cameras have the ability to take pictures at well over 10 mega pixels, this is great and can be of large use to many photographers, however does the everyday holiday maker and person really need a 10 mega pixel camera.

No not at all, it depends on what you are going to be using your camera for. For example if you are planning to go on vacation somewhere and need a camera to take pictures, the primary feature of it will be that it has to be compact and light weight. You do not want to have to lug a massive camera around and have to take it out of a bag and set it up to use, you want a small compact camera that can fit easy into your bag or pocket and be ready to go as soon as you grab it. Small compact cameras still come with capabilities of 7 to 8 mega pixels which are more than enough.

Another thing to note is do you need to buy a camera with all the built in editing features. In my opinion editing of pictures is far easier and better on a computer where you can quickly get things done. In built editing on a camera is hard to use since you have to judge the editing you are doing on a small LCD screen and the editing power that you have is not very much. Often features like this are unnecessary and mean that you will pay for features you do not want. In my opinion don’t judge a camera by the bells and whistles it has but by its primary objectives and how well it carries them out.

What is important to remember here is what are the features in piece of equipment are we going to use and what are the features that we are going to disregard and not use. Let’s be honest here, most of use never you the full power of our computers and electrical devices, we hardly even get close too either. So why pay for it, If you are not going to use all the extra features that are provided to you in an electronic device don’t get the extra features. Just pay for what you are going to use.

Cool Electronic Gadgets

Advances in information technology and innovation in electronics in the recent years have given rise to a slew of entertaining electronic devices. From I-Pods to digital cameras, and from cell phones to lap tops, cool gadgets keep getting introduced one after the other.

The market is always flooded with objects of desire such as the Nike + I-Pod which combines the utility of a portable music player with that of a pedometer. Actually, they are two devices that joggers and runners have used for ages. But the fusion of the devices has brought together the functions to create a product that is far more advanced than an ordinary pedometer or the regular I-Pod.

Considered as essential things in the present day are handheld electronic gadgets and the trend is not one that will fade so easily. The only electronic thing of multi-utility that you find is not a cell phone. There are plenty of new gizmos that are catching up with passing time and these comprise digital organizers, GPS receivers and digital cameras. Once upon a time they used to be high-price luxury items but if you see today, they have come to be the minimal equipment for the common man. There is a variety to choose from out of the new arrivals in electronic gadgets as well as high-tech standbys.

The busy bodies and the men on constant move never tire of feeling lucky about the Blackberry that frees them from the binding of being present in their office and helps them keep their commitment towards friends and family, though there are others who curse it for making work intrude upon their moments of leisure by constantly keeping them in touch with their business associates.

Take it or leave it, but the electronic revolution is here to stay and you have an option either to get hooked or remain cut off from the mainstream, and let the world pass by you.

It’s about making the statement that you have arrived for changing with times and trends, getting the best from modern world and not allowing others to get the competitive edge over you.

Plasma Television Myths And Facts

Myths about plasma television persist even though these flat panel entertainment wonders have been around for a while and are widely used in home, offices and public areas.

Like all decisions in life, the decision to purchase a plasma television has both pros and cons. But that is not this article. This article is about the debate about what those pros and cons are to help you sort out the raging shouting matches on the technology forums.

Like any good, religious technology debate the debate between plasma televisions and LCD screens is as hot as between PC and Mac fanatics.

Anything I say here will be seen as wrong, even with the numbers to back it up, by one of the camps. Since I have worked at the electronics department of a major department store before, I have seen the ups and downs of both camps. Which is why there is a CRT in my living room. Now that all biases have been aired, let's try to see the debate:

1. Stupid Myths. If it sounds like something your father came up with (like needing to refill or recharge your plasma television) it is probably stupid.

2. Burn In. Remember the original reason for screen savers? Well, it is still alive and well today. While it is true that a plasma television used a certain way will not have burn in, there have been enough examples of toddlers burning the screen. For the price of a plasma television, any example is too many. The manufacturers either need to fix the problem or issue rebates.

3. Fade. Yes, they both do it. The only debate is in how long it takes to do it. Unfortunately, my last CRT was over 30 years old and still had a perfect picture. Again, there is not much excuse for any television wearing out.

4. Picture Quality. The manufacturers would have you believe that it is impossible to get as good a picture quality on a CRT as a plasma television or an LCD screen. They are lying. There are CRT's with comparable picture quality, they are just hard to find.

5. The Myth of the Clean Room. Manufacturers love to advertise the image of a plasma television screen in a picture frame and no other electronics in the room. Yeah, right. First of all, plasma televisions are hard to hang. Then you still have all your other stuff that needs to be connected, like VCR's and cable boxes and game systems.

What they never show on advertisements is the nest of cables, cords and power strips! Plasma televisions do not have anything built into them to help cut down the clutter.

6. Durability. Plasma televisions are fragile. Once you decide where they are going, then they are staying there because you probably had to have them professionally installed. And if you want one over your fireplace, then you will need special carpentry to hold it in place.

Okay, most writers about plasma television myths assume that you are stupid. You probably are not. Therefore, you are not looking for questions on obvious myths, but the real possible problems that you might have with a plasma television. I hope that you feel more confident in your decision now.

New technology is always exciting and mysterious. Plasma televisions are no different. However, if you question closely owners of plasmas to find their experiences, you will have a better idea of their performance and if these new televisions are for you. At the price, you want to be right!

You Thought Tv Antennas Were A Thing Of The Past

Many experts including myself are convinced TV antennas are the new wave of the future. Why? Because at this time nearly every broadcast TV station in the United States is now available in crystal clear digital HDTV and best of all it's free. All you need to enjoy your favorite programs in picture perfect high definition is an HDTV set with a digital tuner and a TV antenna.

The best possible HDTV pictures come from those you get using a TV antenna. Snowy pictures and poor sound quality are a thing of the past. With digital HDTV broadcast television you'll enjoy crystal clear life like pictures and CD quality Dolby surround sound, along with many more channels to choose from, all provided to you free of charge by your local broadcasters.

The nature of digital broadcasting allows each broadcaster in your area to provide up to six channels where there once was one analog channel. In other words digital broadcasting makes it possible for your local broadcasters to provide you with up to six times as many channels. Many areas of the country now have dozens of channels available, free for the watching.

The average American households spends more than $60.00 a month for pay TV. Whether or not free digital broadcast television will replace your current cable or satellite TV is strictly a personal choice. Digital television along with the rising cost of pay TV has many people dropping their pay TV, installing a TV antenna and eliminating their monthly cable bill altogether.

If you choose to keep your pay TV provider the addition of an over the air TV antenna to receive free digital TV is still likely to be in your future. In most areas pay providers offer you just a fraction of the local channels that are available with a TV antenna. They choose the channels you get, charge for what they do offer, and most of what they offer is of poorer picture and sound quality when compared to over the air digital TV. Last but not least, when your cable or satellite goes out, and it will, you'll still have your digital broadcast channels.

I'm not saying you should do away with your pay TV provider. I have satellite TV in my home, we use and enjoy it. Too many people think it's an either or decision when it comes to pay TV or a TV antenna. The truth is, a TV antenna system compliments pay TV and vice versa. Its not your pay TV providers fault they can't offer you all the local channels that a TV antenna can. In many cases Federal law prohibits pay TV providers from broadcasting many of these channels.

With the introduction of digital HDTV the benefits free over the air TV can offer are tremendous. I think the following statement released by an industry spokesperson says it best. "Thanks to over the air digital broadcasting, we can broadcast data which will revolutionize the way you communicate, entertain yourself and live your live. We will be able to marry the convenience of television with the freedom and power of the internet. Datacasting wiil make truly interactive TV possible, empowering the viewer to make television viewing an incredible experience.
